The bin is the best place for 5830.

Not when you're currently using an hd 4650

Which XFX Radoen HD 5830 do you have (model number, and/or a picture of the card)?

I may be able to dig up some disassembly information, or what-not.

Disassemble the card, and thoroughly clean the GPU cooler (e.g. the heatsink fin array, the cooling fans, etc) from any dust build-up.

While taken apart, inspect the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and electrical components (e.g. capacitors, surface-mount chips) for any signs of damage.

Clean off the old thermal paste from the GPU die and cooler, and apply a new amount.

ZAFC...

I happened to used to have a XFX Radeon HD 5850 that looked EXACTLY the same. The model number was 585X-ZAFC.

Let me see if I can dig anything up...

EDIT #1:

Just for any future reference, for the HD 5800 series (maybe this applies to the HD 6000 series as well), ZAFC, ZABC, and ZNFC means non-reference cooler (and PCB?).

EDIT #2:

Linus actually made a video on how to disassemble, and clean a graphics card.

(out of coincidence, he disassembled a XFX Radeon HD 5870 -- but reference cooler -- useful information nonetheless)

Remove all the red highlighted screws, and the whole GPU cooler should come apart in one piece.

The tiny screw Linus removed from the rear I/O (where the DVI and HDMI ports are) should not need to be removed -- it should just hold the steel I/O plate...which is not attached to the GPU cooler.
