I have an i3 4170 and an r7 240 (yup i know) and I am having problems with scaling as I want to run games at 720p but my monitor is native 1080p. I have gone into the AMD Radeon settings and turned on GPU Scaling but this hasn't resolved the problem. I only have this problem in Battlefield 3, Black ops 2 and Warframe as these are the games I have to run in 768p or 720p.

Did you also check your monitor's settings? Some of them have scaling options.

I'm not familiar with AMD's software, but if I went with this http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/UnableToSetGPUScaling.aspx then make sure you're using "Scale to full panel size", if you really don't want black areas. Otherwise I'd suggest "Maintain Aspect Ratio", because it looks better.

I'm not familiar with AMD's software, but if I went with this http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/UnableToSetGPUScaling.aspx then make sure you're using either "Maintain Aspect Ratio" (this will do black bars on anything not 16:9) or "Scale to full panel size" (this will stretch out anything not 16:9)

Thank you very much for your fast response. For some reason the problem is resolved when playing at 769p but not at 720p, this isnt a problem as it doesnt affect performance at all.

Again Thank you!!
