Hi, i have overclocked my i5 4690k too 4.5ghz, but when im playing csgo it only stays at 4.3ghz, is there an explonation too why ? I have windows set to balanced.

i5-13600kf, 16gb Corsair 3600mhz, Asrock z690 ac itx,  RTX 3080 , 1TB+1TB PREDATOR + Western digital NVME, InWin A1, Thermalright peerless assasin 120SE

Because you have it set to balance. Change it to high performance. Windows will try to keep the CPU at full speed.

Are you using task manager to see this? It's usually unreliable.

Well, i dont like it when the cpu is running full speed when im just using windows and searching the web.

does it matter if the cpu runs at 4.5 at desktop ?
