Would E7 4890 V2 work in an asus z9pe d8 ws?

I know E5 2xxx work in single cpu boards, so would too of these work in this 2p board?

Apparently that chip is designed to handle being in a board with up to 3 more of them (for 4 total), but I'm not certain about the compatibility with that exact board.

Edit: According to the official support list, the asus z9pe d8 ws will not accept E7 4890 V2, so there is a good chance it won't work; server stuff can be quite picky about that sort of thing.

That CPU is socket 2011-1, I don't think so

This is not a socket restriction.

yes i read the offical support list before asking here. I'm sure you can run 4p boards with just 1 or 2 cpus in them to test each cpu is working. I am a bit of a server noob tbh.
