so, i bought these,   http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0MX1YN7965

to illuminate the area around my computer. for some reason, i thought they would plug into a USB port. well, that was incorrect. so now i need to figure out how to power these up. the connector looks like a female RCA jack, but i do not think it is. does anyone have an idea what the connector they use on these is? if all else fails, i will just cut the connector off, and wire them directly.  also, it states that the power draw is 20ma, i know LED's are energy efficient, but that has to be for ONE LED, right? it can not be for all 300 LED's can it?  if i am thinking right, i will need a 6 amp, 12 volt power supply to run them. that is assuming i use all 300 LED's. if all 300 use 20ma, i could probably power them for a month on 2 9v batteries!

I've used these types of LEDs before and you need a simple adapter to power them (like this http://www.amazon.com/Etekcity-GD-001-12V-Power-Adapter/dp/B005JRGOCM/ref=sr_1_5?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1464360317&sr=1-5&keywords=power+adapter) Obviously you need to find one that gives the correct amount of power.

The 20 mA is per LED and it should use a DC barrel jack which you can get a molex adapter for, if your cutting and wiring them to 12V power inside your PC I have a quick guide here under Wiring LED's:
