Hm, safe to send it in?

My Samsung GS3 is having issues reading my micro sd card. It reads it sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. I contacted verizon, and when they asked me for a description of the cosmetic conditions, i told them that it has a few scratches and a paint chip on the corner, and the representative said that it might not be safe to send it in with the paint chip, and i should go get a 2nd opinon. Should I bother driving 30 minutes to get that 2nd opinion? Will they even care for a small paint chip? I'll post a pic soon.

paint chip means you dropped the thing.

 

in Verizons eyes that'll mean you basically threw it against a brick wall. 

 

which in turn means, youre responsible.
