I went to turn my PC on and nothing happened. I tried the power strip that it's plugged into and it worked. Its pretty hot in the room it's in, and I do have an overclocked CPU, but the temps are always fine at around 50c max, and none of the lights in the PC that are usually on when it's off where all off. I think it's my power supply, have a v750 semi modular. I have no clue if it burned out or something, my PC was 100% fine a few hours ago when I was playing overwatch and counter strike, but I went to turn it on and it didn't work. Suggestions/possible fixes would be nice, don't care if the outcome is getting a new power supply want a fully modular anyways. Thanks.

You may want to give it a few minutes to cool off. You can also try unplugging the power supply from the wall, and with the power supply switch still set to on, press the power button on the case a few times until it stops responding. Then wait a minute, plug it back in, and try again.

Does this usually happens with power supplies? Like should I he worried for the future (don't have a lot of experience, first desktop that I've built/owned)

Don't just take my word for it, but in my experience (I was younger at the time, so I very well may be wrong) I have had random issues where a computer would not want to turn on for several minutes, but would eventually start with some coaxing.

Unplug the PC completely, hold down the power button for 30 seconds to perform a power drain on held current then try again. Failing this try resetting the BIOS battery (small silver watch type battery visible on top of motherboard.)

If you are still having problems then i'm afraid to say its either new MB or new PSU time... fingers crossed for you!

Peace! :D
