Hey yall, I posted this thread on /r/hardware, but LTT is an awesome forum, so I figure I'd post it here as well. This is pretty much a rundown of the 1080 cards right now (from board partners), and when more concrete info is released and reviews/prices come out, I'll be sure to update and make this more structured! Please comment if you see some new things that should be in here!
Great article by Hexus outlining these new cards. Another "great" article by WCCFTECH. Here is a video by Joker about it.

ZOTAC
Zotac AMP! and AMP! Extreme

There are two cards here, the AMP! and the AMP! Extreme. The new AMP! has 2 fans, while the AMP! Extreme has 3. Both have custom pcbs, and dual 8 pin power connectors. The AMP! carries over  a lot of the design aesthetic from the old 980ti AMP!, and the AMP! Extreme almost a carbon copy (on looks) to the old 980ti AMP! Extreme. Both look to share a aluminum grey backplate, with yellow stripes, and a super tacky Push the Limits sticker. Translucent led stripes controlled by the Firestorm utility can be seen on both coolers. Both share the Zotac marketing hype to have Icestorm fans, Carbon Exo Armor, etc... I don't know the clocks yet, but I'll be sure to update when I do learn. I expect the AMP! to come it at around $599 and the AMP! Extreme maybe between that and $699.

OFFICIAL Zotac PGF

Zotac is also releasing a new line of graphics cards called the PGF, or Prime Gamer Force, kinda tacky sounding IMO. The cooler on it looks similar to the older 980 AMP! Extreme, with the two outer fans covered by led lit shrouds (look like the 980 AMP! Extreme, and it has a custom pcb, much wider than the reference. Dual 8 pins of course, but the main attraction is the backplate, looks freaking amazing! It is edge lit with a much better design IMO than the AMP! cards (Leds again controlled by the Firestorm utility.) Sounds like this is going to retail for around $699. It sounds like the card might only be fore the Chinese market, so don't get your hopes up yet.

ASUS
Asus Strix, sorta

Edit: Full shot of ASUS Strix

The Asus Strix has a new triple fan design, very angular and aggressive all black design, a departure from the old strix coolers. It has AURA controlled rgb leds along the shroud, but I am getting a strong Amp! Extreme vibe from it... Custom pcb, and a unpictured backplate, but no word on power connectors.

Gainward
Gainward Pheonix

Tri-color shroud (Red, gold, and black.) Dual large fan design. Not much more info regarding clocks or anything.

Gigabyte
Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming

Gigabyte ditched the old Windforce design, and went with a completely new design, which looks pretty sweet (kind of like a modern combo of the older 290 winforce coolers combined with the Xtreme gaming coolers.) Something to not is the new fan design, which has a total of 4 fans. There are 3 main fans, with the middle pushed back and behind a x shroud, that is led illuminated. There is a smaller fan on top of the middle fan as well. No word on backplate, power connectors, or clocks. Pretty wide card, wider than a pci slot for sure.

Gigabyte
EVGA ACX 3.0: SC and FTW

The two ones shown here are the SC and the FTW. They rock the new ACX 3.0 cooler, which is redesigned to have a more aggressive modern design, with new bolt on aluminum/white accents with vents, and a honeycomb mesh, kind of a hate it or love it affair. It also has a side illuminated logo and a smaller FTW/SC led logo. The ACX 3.0 has two fans. The FTW has 2 8 pin connectors, while the SC has one. Hothardware got their hands on a SC, and found that the 8 pin connector is likely to cause OC bottlenecking. The SC is rumored to have a base clock of 1709, and a boost of 1848. The FTW card is pretty wide, while the SC is pci slot width.

Galax

Galax Blower card

Cheap basic plastic blower design. Would not go for it if other better coolers are available at similar prices. Probably just a reference design, so stock clocks, and a 8 pin connector. Would avoid.

Colorful
Coloful card w/ waterblock

It seems that Colorful has teamed up with Bykski to make a Founders Edition card that comes with a waterblock preinstalled. Waterblock will be available separately, but don't know if it is aluminum, or some sort of brass/copper.

Inno3d

iChill HerculeZ X3/4

New unique aluminum looking shroud, not too aggressive, with two bars running along the fan (acting as shrouds) on the top and bottom, don't know if this will impede airflow. The X3 has 3 fans on the bottom, while the X4 has 4 fans, 3 on the bottom, and one on the side for the vrm components. Power for both is a 6+1 phase, and noth feature a 6+8 pin power connector. I'll update once more is known.

Does anyone know if these editions will drop today, the 27th. Or later?

I hope today so i can pick one up, but i have no clue, i don't think it has been confirmed either way, if not today though i would expect them to be dropping during the week next week.

Why can't we have a more plain, elegant looking cooler? Does every cooler have to be striking and bling-tastic? Even EVGA ditched their sexy, sleek ACX coolers for some blingy monstrosity. Looks like I'm going to break out the paint if I get a 1080.

I'm sure someone will come out with a nice elegant cooler, or just throw a waterblock on it and watercool it.

Yep, it looks like Colorful will have a board with a preinstalled waterblock, but the problem is that it is still the founder board, so once you hit the power barrier, you can't go any further with overclocks. Hoping to see some nice hybrid cards, or what MSI can come out with (sincerely hope it is more than just a carbon copy of a Twin Frozr)

Yeah I might have to. I'm willing to spend a few extra bucks for aesthetics, but a full custom loop is a bit more than I'm willing to spend. Ill just keep my eyes out for a cooler that fits my tastes.

Easy way to save for a custom loop is just to buy a few fittings here and there or spend a few bucks every paycheck or whenever you get money, get some tubing here and there, and a res when you can afford it along with a pump. these are all things you do not really have to upgrade ever unless you want to, so you don't have to worry about them being outdated by the time you finish buying everything, then when you have most of everything, just buy whatever waterblocks go with your current setup.

If I get anything it'll be a Matrix or Kingpin, if they release super late I doubt I'll upgrade. IF a lightning card is released, I won't touch it unless it actually has unlocked voltage without having to sign your soul away to MSI.

Full loops look pretty damn sweet, but I find them a little impractical. I'm all for aesthetics, but its just over the top for me. Money isn't the issue, I just don't like wasting money on stuff I don't need. Im not a hard core overclocker and I don't need to push the hardware to the very limit. As far as I can get on air is usually enough.

...I guess one can argue that having a gaming pc in itself is something I don't need, but I'm sure you get the point :D

ha yeah i get what you mean. Hard tubing can be impractical especially, although sexy as fuck.

I try not to spend money on shit i don't need, doesn't usually work.

...you have me now pricing out water cooling stuff...

I'm beginning to seriously consider going with a full loop the next time I upgrade my graphics card.

Damn you sir, damn you.
