Optimal RAM in new rig? CAS vs MHz .....

So i´m putting together a 6700k/Z170 system and don´t have too much experience with RAM. This will foremost be a gaming rig.

Should i opt for lower CAS (like 10 ish) and limit frequency to 2400 or allow higher CAS and get 3000Mhz+ memory?

Get the cheaper one for gaming.

Get the one with the higher frequency for CAD, video editing and other ram intensive stuff

As u can see the higher the frequency the higher the CAS is. 

 

For gaming it makes 0 difference. For work it makes very little difference.

 

So buy whichever is cheaper :)

I don't know if its accurate but I've always compared them like this:
2400:10 [Winner]
2600:11
2800:12
3000:13 [Above +1]
But either would be good. Personally, here, I'd grab the cheaper of the two.
Corsair DP's are going to perform either way.
