Will the Raspberry Pi work for Skype?

Anything can handle Skype. Just make sure the version of Skype you install is either Windows emulated by Wine or the Linux version.

even that i tried using it to use youtube and it was laggy as fuck. even google search page wasn't loading properly. my suggestion is if you want a ultra portable and cheap computer try those intel computer sticks

don't get the raspberry pi . Get the odroid c2 instead . It has a 2ghz quad core with 2gb of ram ( instead of 1gb with a 1.2ghz quad core ) and is the same price.

 

It can run android and ubuntu , and android has skype natively

Shit. So they are. I was just confused by the (in my opinion) abnormal placement of the >/< sign, but yes it is correct.
