[G1 Gaming 970 owners] Question regarding fan noise

LooneyJuice

As the title states I'd like some experiences regarding fan noise for the G1. I've noticed that mine basically start "whirring", almost resonating after 64% fan speed. The problem is that it's not exactly constant, it modulates almost, does that "woob woob woob" sound (yes, I know, it's hard to convey in writing :P ). It's not incredibly noticeable, but I'm trying to troubleshoot possible fan imbalance which could 'cause degradation earlier. I did tilt my case a bit just for shits and giggles, which alleviated some of the whirring, but I'm still on the fence about what's considered acceptable with these. Any feedback is much appreciated.

I've had nothing like that with my 970 g1 gaming, even at 100% fan speed.

I just get that regular fan whirring noise from the air movement and such.

hmm, i'll try, or at least post as clean as an audio sample as I can, lacking some of the equipment.

Pretty much any recent smartphone would take decent video and audio ;)

Alright, managed to get as high quality a sample as I could, I'm not on the apex of the smartphone curve, I burn the money on PC hardware instead :P . Hope this doesn't make me sound paranoid, it's not all that loud, but the whirring's in there.

Well I noticed that after 70% or so it stops resonating and "calms down" a bit, but it was resonating to the point where I could hear it through my headset when the ambient noise levels were low. Again, it's not so much a loud whirring, but rather the resonance and the frequency sort of hits me a bit more. Kinda like a CRT TV whine when you switch it on.

Sounds normal to me. I'd blame the cooler design if it's louder in person.

Yes, there is a fair chance I may be a tad paranoid, I will admit. At least I don't hear any coil noise when my case is closed otherwise I'd lose it :P . But seriously, it's that small RPM range that had me concerned mostly, but I guess it's nothing. It's just that I'm a little "if it shits itself, I hope it does it under warranty". Thanks for the input though.
