If you're liquid cooling overclock away. Just keep an eye on the temps.

Uh... it's possible, although not recommended in the slightest. For starters, you need a z170 board. And even if you do, you:

  1. Lose the thermal sensor. You can't monitor temps, so you if your PC was to overheat, you wouldn't know it.
  2. Lose the iGPU.
  3. Lose all power saving features.
  4. Lose AVX support.
  5. Have to run an older Bios, which means missing on features / fixes that come with newer releases.
  6. Risk Windows updating stuff and locking you out of it (unlikely, but possible).

no. aio's are really bad. i would highly recommend overclocking that 6500 with an air cooler.
