Help please! Weird sh*t happening!

I am noticing artifacts in unigine valley. I have a list of possible problems, need help please! Thanks!

So here are the basic specs of my PC:

fx-8320

2*4gb hyperxfury red ddr3-1866 cl9

msi twin frozr v gtx 970

cx500m

cougar mx300 with inc. fan moved to bottom of front panel, top-back replaced with arctic f12 pro.

Here are the 5 main variables I figured it may be:

I recognise my case is cheap, could it be thermal throttling?

Is it a cpu bottleneck? (bought an aftermarket cooler, can't use yet still waiting for thermal paste)

Is it my OC? using msi afterbburner + msi extended bios. Running at 1.187v, +175 core, +425 mem.

Is it my monitor? It is below both the resolution and refresh rate I am running valley at. It is only a placeholder, upgrading soon ;)

Thanks so much again for helping!

its your overclock. turn it down and it will be fine

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Probably your graphics card oc. If you don't give it enough voltage it will have artifacting. But don't givr it too much voltage. If you have a bad chip it might not oc that well and you will need to lower the clock speed

Couple things that I've noticed.

Your CPU is old. Like old. You've got it overclocked I assume? Plus the CPU cooler isn't the greatest to cool your CPU. I would change that

You've got a CX500 PSU, which is not the best PSU's out there.

Your GPU could be under performing, due to your CPU.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | CPU Cooler: Stock AMD Cooler | Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) | RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 | GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB Zotac Mini | Case: K280 Case | PSU: Cooler Master B600 Power supply | SSD: 1TB  | HDDs: 1x 250GB & 1x 1TB WD Blue | Monitors: 24" Acer S240HLBID + 24" Samsung  | OS: Win 10 Pro

Audio: Behringer Q802USB Xenyx 8 Input Mixer |  U-PHORIA UMC204HD | Behringer XM8500 Dynamic Cardioid Vocal Microphone | Sound Blaster Audigy Fx PCI-E card.

Home Lab:  Lenovo ThinkCenter M82 ESXi 6.7 | Lenovo M93 Tiny Exchange 2019 | TP-LINK TL-SG1024D 24-Port Gigabit | Cisco ASA 5506 firewall  | Cisco Catalyst 3750 Gigabit Switch | Cisco 2960C-LL | HP MicroServer G8 NAS | Custom built SCCM Server.
