I recently built a new PC, but i am stuck without a graphics card until the 1080 releases. Anyways my monitor keeps flickering off and on, but i don't see why that's happening since the 6700k has integrated graphics, anybody know what's happening?

try another cable just in case it's that

It's not the cable and it's not the outlet, because i unplugged everything except for the monitor and pc! It's becoming difficult to even use my pc, because the flickering is almost non-stop.

if it's flickering without anything plugged in then it could be a fault with the monitor

can you try plugging another device into the monitor to be sure?

Try another monitor or another cable, also try another output from the motherboard to see if it's the port your using

As i said i don't have another monitor and i already tried using another cable. Also the monitor seems to only have one hdmi port.

Cable or defective monitor for what i'm seeing.

Do you have a case beeper in hand? You could wire it up to your mobo to see if there's anything wrong.

I had a similar problem in my setup when i built it and it turned out it was bad ram...

Let me ask, do you a LCD or Plasma or LED TV?

I'm using my PC in a LCD TV via graphics card HDMI, you could at least test if it's monitor issues or not

We can rule out the problem being with the cable, since i've tried 3 different cables! I don't even know what a case beeper is, but i know my ram is good and i feel the monitor is fine as well since it was working when i had the graphics card in my system!

This is a beeper or PC speaker if you will, great for diagnostics.

Could it be your mobo, maybe? If you could only like test it on a TV or something to make sure...

I'll see if i can use my friends tv and pc speaker makes more sense now, i had one of those with my previous motherboard, but i guess they didn't include one with my current motherboard.

Normally those come with the cases themselves, mine has a giant 8Ω one screwed to the front of the chassis

So i've been using an hdtv for a little while now and no issues, i guess it was the monitor, but i don't understand it, because it was working fine before i removed the graphics card?

What should i do, do you think i should return the monitor?

I believe you should try to return the product if it's defective, try to test with another pc or laptop just to make sure.

So the monitor works with the laptop and worked with the PC when it had a graphics card, the only time it turns off and on is without the graphics card in my PC. Also the hdtv works perfectly with my PC so it's not the motherboard either.

So what is the issue, i'm clueless?

now that is a very weird situation you are encountering

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25948/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40-?product=88195

try updating the Intel Graphics Driver to the latest version

In the Intel Display settings, make sure your monitor refresh rate is set to 60Hz

Also in the BIOS, if you have not try this

Set the Integrated to be the primary display and allocate 64MB for video memory if you set video RAM too high.

Last but not least

also try running in Safe Mode and see if the flickering still persist with the basic display driver

Just to rule out drivers issues
