I'm interested in buying the Never Alone - Foxtales DLC  from the Humble Store since it's currently on sale but I already have to base game which I bought on Steam some time ago.

 

If I buy the DLC from Humble Store will the Steam key be compatible with the base game?

Why wouldn't it be? it is made for the game and the game is only on steam

last time i used it you went to your account area and clicked redeem via steam and it just adds it to you library

It would more likely give you a code to redeem or it just hooks to the game
