SSD wont stop writing data!

Is it normal for my ssd to write about 10gb a day on its own? If I just sit there watching my ssds smart data it ends writing anywhere from 5 - 15gb each day on its own. Hibernation is disabled. Chrome cache is on ram disk. Defrag is disabled. Page file is on HDD..

is it a system drive or a secondary drive?

 

sounds normal for a system drive tho, depending on what you do with it

10+GB a day!? Even with the internet cache and pagefile on a different drive?

I'm averaging 6.5GB a day on my system SSD with similar circumstances.. (7914GB total in 1217 days, since I first got my SSD)

 

Do you have something else running off your SSD? Like Steam?

Did you disable Windows 10's peer-to-peer windows update thing?(though that shouldn't really write anything...)

Did you also move the Windows Temporary folder to another drive? (most likely the culprit if you haven't)

I think I may just reinstall windows and see what happens. I've only used this drive for a month and its already passed 1tb! 

 

I'm running a cloned windows 8 install my uncle had on his old HDD. So a fresh windows install would be nice anyways

Sounds pretty normal. 

My average is 29GB/day
