  1. 1. Was this guide useful/helpfull

Note: this is software terms not physical, oh well this might not work if the usb itself has gone bad.

So here is how we do it.

Download a simple program called "Bootice" here

Plug yo drive in

-

Then

Win10/8: RClick Start - Disk Management

Win Vista/7 : Start - Rclick Computer - manage - Disk Management.

you should see this

now scroll till you see that flash drive

You see the problem, half of its allocated. The reason this happens (I theorize) is that you pull you usb without ejecting it,

the primary partiton(data gets stored) gets formatted then replaced with 200 MB EFI Partition.(which is required with fat32)

To fix it open Bootice

Destination is your flash drive then press Parts manage.

press re partitioning.

do as the picture says

it wil tell you prompt you if you are an idiot, but since youre not press yes anyway.

then you are done!

look it works

What this is useful for

1) see if ebay drives are actuall size

2) fix your mums flash drive that she needs.

3)???

4) profit.

disadvantage

1)lose original data.

2) idk.

Did you know that command prompt is also capable of the same??? You just have to type about 5 command lines and BOOM! It's done!
