I am going to buy a new pc but need to make sure my power supply wont murder the rest of my parts.

Parts:

CPU: i5-6600

GPU: Either Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 2gb or EVGA GTX 960 ACX 2.0 2gb (help me choose between them please!)

Motherboard: GigaByte GA-H170-D3HP

RAM: 16gb (2x8gb) DDR4 2133Mhz

Harddrive: 1tb Western Digital Blue 7200rpm

1 optical drive

For the power supply i had the Corsair Builder series CX600 600 Watt 600 plus 80 in mind will it supply all my parts well? Is it overkill?

Monitor: HP Pavilion 21.5-Inch IPS LED HDMI VGA Monitor

and of course mouse, speakers, headset, and a keyboard.

OS Windows 10

The power supply isn't really overkill, both the gpu's you selected is pretty power hungry as well as the cpu.  As long as you don't plan to add more gpu's on the same psu, you should be good to go for a while ahead.

I know the r9 is better but the gtx is cheaper from where I am buying it. Plus the r9 consumes more power which I don't want. I also don't plan on playing new games but I want to play CS:GO, H1Z1, and Rocket League. Maybe in the future i will play newer games but if i am not getting the performance I want I can upgrade. (I say I am not playing newer games because the r9 works better with newer games if I am correct just pointing that out). @TheRandomness

Note; Buying it pre-built off of ironside. ironsidecomputers.com

Building it yourself is cheaper. Also, it's not that hard.

I know but I don't want to deal with DOA stuff. I would rather have someone else deal with it for me and get a warranty for the whole pc with it. Thanks.

A 380 will use an unnoticeable amount of power more. You could run the both of them together off a 550W PSU with an i7 in your system ass well. Neither uses a lot of power.

Anyways, a Seasonic M12 520W would be better for you considering the old CX series should be forgotten entirely unless you're getting the 430W version. The new grey logo CX units are much better if you want to look into them.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Well, looks like Ironside Computers are Corsair fanboys when it comes with PSUs.

Every single PSU aside from the unknown "standard" are Corsair PSUs: http://ironsidecomputers.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=28219_13&products_id=269

If you are set in getting this, the CX600v3 would powered it. Unless of course, you are willing to select "none" and include install the PSU on your own.
