First of all I wanna know if I'm doing a good job, My CPU is a i5-3570k and I'm using a stock cooler.

Yeah, you may be saying ew, he's using a stock cooler! I'm upgrading coolers and I'm thinking of buying a H100i, am I doing a good purchase? It's $126 with next-day shipping! Good deal? Also got 10% off, just tell me if I'm doing a huge upgrade.

Stock Cooler --> H100i

Also, I'm running at stock speeds of 3.4GHz w/ 3.8GHz turbo boost! What do you think I could OC to with stable temperatures? Please let me know, also let me know if I should WORRY about anything when installing/having this in my PC! Wanna know before purchasing!

1) Purchase now

2) Don't purchase

PS, Please don't recommend me things

The H100i is a good cooler. You should definitely be able to break 4.5GHz with it.

Feel free to message me if you want to chat!

Off topic, but what happened to your 3970X brick?

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Too bad. Unless you go extreme OC, get a 212 EVO.

A) A bit expensive

B) It is a good upgrade

C) Around 4.5 should be attainable if your processor isn't bottom barrel, possibly higher

D) No, they're pretty idiot proof, I would probably try to have the rad mounted above the CPU block

Also I would have gone with an NZXT x60 but that's just me (since you know, it's pretty much superior and cheaper)

Error: 410

Here's the thing--If you have a bad chip, the h100i would go to waste.

See if you can get a decent oc on the stock cooler. If so, then you would have a decent chip that's worth getting a h100i for.

Okay, so I'll just wait till I get the RMA motherboard back and install all the parts!

What should I OC on the stock cooler and what temperature do you think I should be seeing?

It's a lottery. See how high you can push it. I got mine to 4.2 ghz on stock.

Did I sound rude? I didn't mean to come off that way lol. I'm just saying you can get a good clock with a 212 EVO too which is about $30. If you have a good chip you can probably do that 4.5GHz if you have good airflow in your case. An h100i is a good choice though if you do want to spend all that money.

Na homie, you didn't sound rude!! I understand, but I'm afraid at running it at high temperatures the reason why I'm getting the H100i for it to be nice and cool.
