The barracuda is a solid option, i currently have a 1TB barracuda coupled with an SSD in my system. Thinking about getting another one actually as i am getting low on media and game storage.

I have both a barracuda and WD green for redundant storage. If you plan on just using it for mass storage and you don't really care about what you put on it then they are excellent drives. The only complaint I have with them is that they are slow. Sometimes I experience frame drops in a game because they are so slow. Other than that though they are great drives for mass storage.

It's not better, it's just a bigger (in terms of storage) drive :P

What are the disadvantages of it compared to the WD caviar blue

Nothing really, just Seagate aren't exactly known for their reliability :/

Hey UnjoGratis :)

The guys gave you some good general suggestions. You didn't mention what exactly you'll be doing with the drive? Any specific applications/data that you will be storing or any specific usage such as backups, streaming, gaming, work, RAID, network-shared drive, etc? Do you have a SSD as a boot drive?

WD Blue is a good option for a mainstream drive for simple non-demanding computing so if you are not looking for anything specific it should be a good choice. :)
