Agreed

@anon7909 a 970 is not enough to play games at 1440p 60, let alone at 144hz, you would need to upgrade to a 1080 or something to do that

Hi, I'm thinking about getting a new monitor and here are my options (AUD):

A - 27" 1440p 60hz for $399 (Acer K272HUL)
B - 27" 1440p 144hz for $729 (Acer XF270HU) - Also has freesync but I have an nvidia card
C - 27" 1440p 144hz g-sync for $999 (Acer XB271HU) - $270 premium for g-sync
D - Stick with my 1080p 60hz monitor (Asus MX239H)

I have a GTX 970 and I don't plan on upgrading in the near future. I don't play any competitive games, only single player.

Which one should I go with?

1080p.

the 970 will struggle at 1440p, it wont even reach 144fps in some games.

1080 144Hz (not maxed out) or go for 1440 60Hz.

Or upgrade the GPU and get 1440p 144Hz but that's a lot of money to be spend.
