hey all, i just wanted to get some input from anyone that has done it as of now. With the gtx 1080 and 1070 around the corner, im hoping that there might be a drop in price, and i want to snag a second 390. is it even worth getting a second card? also with the particular card that i have, the PowerColor PCS+ model, which is a triple slot card, would it be alright to have a 2nd of the same card, or should i get one that has a blower style cooler on it? any input is appreciated, thank you.

selling your 390 for 250 and then picking up a 1070 might be a better choice. a single powerful card is always better then 2 because fuck crossfire/sli.

If it's a good idea, no idea.

But if you would get one, i would get a 2-slot cooler with an open design, unless you have bad airflow.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

AFAIK there's no blower style 390s. Get the PowerColor as their coolers are beefy and they have aggressive fan curves to maintain low temperatures which is good for crossfire

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB GDDR6 Motherboard: MSI PRESTIGE X570 CREATION
AIO: Corsair H150i Pro RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB 3600MHz DDR4 Case: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic PSU: Corsair RM850x White

there's the reference card, and there's also a card that xfx makes, but i don't know if i would even want to bother using it because it's just the old reference 290/x cooler
