So I am using the TP-LINK AV500 Nano Powerline Adapter (model number is TL-PA411KIT), all 3 lights on both adapters are green (no flashing) there's a light to indicate that my router does detect the Ethernet cable, and at the back of my PC there is a green and orange light, but my PC says there are no connections available. I'm quite confused.

Have you tried "kicking" the network adapter in windows? Go to the Network and Sharing Center > Adapter Settings, then right click on the adapter and click Disable, then right click and click Enable. Beyond that if you right click on the adapter and click Status > Details does it show an IP address not in the 169.x.x.x range? If it does not show an address in that range then you're getting an IP address, see if it also has DNS servers listed.

When I go to "Network and Sharing Centre" there is "change adapter settings", but when I open that it says the folder is empty

Hmmm, well that's not good, it means Windows isn't seeing any network adapters at all. Are you using the motherboard connector or PCIe Ethernet? Have you installed the latest drivers or done any windows updates lately?

It sounds like, for some reason, Windows didn't recognize the motherboard or at the very least the ethernet adapter. Try to go to the motherboard manufacturer's website and download the drivers from there.

Ok then, I'll be sure to do that, but I'm really tired and I need to get to bed, thank you very much for your help.
