I'm going to get the 1080 Founder's Edition because my case needs a blower cooler. I'm wondering if there is normally a way on Nvidia's reference cards to disconnect the power to the LED as neon green doesn't work with my build's colour scheme. Otherwise I'll have to resort to the solution recently shown on a LTT video of using gaffers tape which is not as elegant.

I spend too much on my PC. Then I spend even more on my Sim Rig. Damn, this stuff's expensive.

It can be disconnected via opening the card if you don't want to install GFE.

You can do it through GeForce Experience, or you can open up the card and disconnect the LCD strip's 3pin connector near the 8pin power connectors on the card (at least for my Titan X). You can also have a look at modding the GPU to strip the green from the "GEFORCE GTX" and make it white, or paint it a different colour - there are lots of videos online for this.
