SteelSeries 7H Microphone Extreme Sensitivity

Hey guys, so my buddy bought the Steelseries 7H analog version (Non USB version) upon my recommendation.

He's spent a lot of money on it, and is disappointed to have this certain microphone issue:

During a skype call, OR a Razer Comms call, I can hear lots of feedback through his headset. He can turn his game audio all the way down to the point where he CANNOT hear it at all, but I still can, through is headset microphone.

As I type this, we are testing it out on Comms... We just played a youtube video, and the microphone seems to be picking up ANY sound that is playing through a headphone / earbud on lowest volume as if I were listening to it myself.

We unplugged the headet's speaker cord, (By the way, the speakers are broken as well) to take away any possibility of errors, and everything else that can possibly be playing the audio of the youtube video, and I could no longer hear it. But as soon as the headphones ( separate from the headset) were plugged back in, I could again hear the video loud and clear, as if I were listening to it myself.

So, we have deduced that the headsets microphone, is sensitive to the point where it picks up audio from a headphone that is playing about a foot away on lowest volume to the point where he can barely hear it if it was in his ear, but not a blaring fan about two feet away, or a TV in the other room.

And yes, we have tried screwing around with microphone sensitivity in the games we play, skype, comms, youtube, everything. Nothing changes it.

I'm thinking its a far stretch to think the mic can pick up that little of noise, so is it possible some interference is being made through the onboard sound on his motherboard?
