Long story short, I've been testing various overclocks to see what the best OC to voltage I could get. When running Intel Burn Test, I pass no problem..but typing a message on Skype = FREEZE out of nowhere. I've played with various settings last night as well with the same result. Stress test gets a pass while  mundane tasks seem to rape my ears with that horrid audio studder + freeze.

Currently have my OC at 4.3ghz with 1.264v with my RAM running at stock (1866mhz 9-9-9-27 1.5v) After the most recent freeze, I noticed in the BIOS that ram voltage was at "auto" for some reason. I set it manually to 1.5v again and it seems fine, but eh..I'm paranoid.

How is it I can pass a stress test perfectly fine WHILE playing MegaMan X on an emulator while after the stress test, Windows freezes out of nowhere doing something so mundane? I don't understand...

Stress tests operate differently from normal programs. You may pass a 24 hour stress test but still crash from just  browsing the internet. That's my understanding of it anyway,
