Wiping a drive

So I have a prebuilt that has a hard drive I want to keep for a custom built. I kbow that the Windows 8 is bound to the mobo, so how could I go about completely wiping the drive? I only want the drive so I can put it in another computer, but I need Windows off of it so I can do that. Thank.

Well I have this one and another I want to put in,except they both have Windows on it,bound to the mobo. Ones is 8 and one is 7

If your installing windows on the drive you will have the option to format the drive before installing windows. If the drive is currently in a pc just go to disk management and format it.

So basically if I put them both in a build and install a different copy of Windows it will do it for me?

Pretty well you will select your drive you want to install on and there will be a format button. Like dis

If you already have another system, just connect the drive... boot your systme as normal, then go into hard disk management and seelct the drive you want to wipe and format it.
