Lenovo Ideapad 100 w/ Zalman ZM-MIC1

So I have the Ideapad 100 and I want to use the Zalman mic cause the build-in one sucks. Problem is the Ideapad only has one jack for both mic and audio. As soon as I plug in the mic, the speakers stop working. 

Any ideas how to fix this?

Go into windows audio setting(playback device) and choose the build in speakers.

only the build in speakers show up

THen your only ooption is to use a audio splitter (line in to audio in+out)

is that a guess or are you sure this will work?

Im 90% sure it works, because your Laptop has a line in connector, which is like the ones on iPhones, so it has more "sections" then the normal stereo jacks
