CPU and Motherboard compablity

Hi i want to build a new pc but a compability check says that my cpu, the AMD A8-7650K and my motherboard ASRock FM2A88X Extreme4+ ATX FM2+ Motherboard are not compatible when the motherboard and cpu have the same socker, FM2+, can you help me plssssssssssssss

I do believe that that combo is compatible! Sometime PC Picker is not always right, check on the MB website and see if maybe the BIOS does not support the chip for whatever reason the MB manufacture will tell u if it does not!

the BIOS could be outdated. that's why it says it's not compatible

its one of several things, BIOS outdated, the Socket itself (FM2 and FM2+ aren't that reliable) or the power supply you are using isn't providing proper current to the CPU, with the Power Supply being the most unlikely culprit, i would recommend updating the BIOS, and if that doesnt work

and the note from PCpartpicker.com states:

• Some AMD A88X chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaveri CPUs.
