Recommend Laptop ~1.25k Max USD

Hello Everyone!

I am going to be buying a laptop soon, I have a maximum budget of 1250 USD.

Now let me make one thing clear, this laptop will NOT be used for gaming. I am going to be using this for casual day to day stuff. No editing or anything like that.

This will mainly be used for browsing, watching videos, writing documents etc.

Here are things I want prioritized -

- Must be light

- Good screen

- Thin

- Good keyboard

- At least 8GB of ram?

Something like that, suggest ahead!

Surface Book is pretty good, though switched w/ Razer Blade for better GPU. https://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/devices/surface-book

You might also want to try the Razer Blade Stealth, though the screen's a bit small. http://www.razerzone.com/store/razer-blade-stealth

Why that much for bad specs though. I'd say 500-800 dollar range is the sweet spot there.

The surface book was my original "look" but it does not seem to be upgradeable, and is a bit too expensive, I think about 1350.

How good would a Dell XPS be?

depends on what you values you have. The xps 15 has all of this: Must be light - Good screen - Thin - Good keyboard(not as good as a thinkpad of cause :P) - At least 8GB of ram.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

SB is probably the most modular one you can get. Wait for Polaris.
