Desk Back lighting Reccomendations

Hey guys. I've been planning on buying some led strips to install behind my desk and monitor. I'm looking to create a back glow effect that will look nice especially in low lighting. Are there any good brands or specific items that would suit nicely? (it would be nice if I can control the color of the lights as well). I've basically been only able to find led lighting for the the inside of your computer case, but I'm not interested in that.

If you don't mind doing some DIY work getting a RGB LED kit online say from Amazon is a good option and fairly straight forward to setup.
