So i got a 970 and i requires a single 8 pin and my PSU only has 2x 6 pins however the card comes with 2x molex to 8pin but i noticed that the 8 pin is missing 2 pins and the 2 molexs are missing 1 pin each , so is it possible to break of the security clip thingie at the end of 1 of my 2 six pins and use it in the 8pin slot

that's how it works

they are missing pins on purpose

since you have dual 8 pins, just plug one in, and ignore the other

I meant 2 x 6 pins woops

most 8 pin connectors have a 6 pin connecter+ 2 pins that detach to turn it into a 6-pin.

at least mine does, anyway

Is this a pre made pc? You can get a 2 6 pin to 1 8 pin adapter, that should work right?
