Turtle Beach P11's

Ok. so I've stumbled through the audio/headphone/sound card section for the last hour or so looking to find something I could refer to, but nothing has really answered/mentioned what I'm looking for. I have the Turtle Beach P11 (ps3 gaming headset). I have been using them for a while now and they aren't that bad and I'm not looking to do away with them. I have 2 questions in particular that I'm confused about (yes, I've looked at the TB website for the info). First off, I was curious if there were sound cards with a USB output that would improve the quality of these headphones (USB connection w/ analog headphone jack -no mic jack-). Otherwise, do I actually need a soundcard for these seeing as how they are USB connectable with the volume controller thingie on the line. Is that, in itself, a mini soundcard? I don't know a whole lot about the soundcard/headphone world, so i'm sorry if this is a bit confusing to read/answer.

Nothing will improve them - the USB connection gives them a digital signal and components in the headset turn it into analog for the drivers to make sound.

+1 don't waste your money trying to upgrade a headset.
