Could I run the low profile n-vidia Geforce gtx 750 (not Ti) on a 240 watt power

supply? Its priority with no upgrade need help on this ASAP. Thanks for any help.

you might be able to run the 750... What CPU? If its a low power cpu like the pentium then maybe. As long as the card doesnt have 6 pin power then yes. It should run, but i would recommend upgrading the PSU ASAP

even getting an Evga 430w White rated PSU would be better than that 240w...that's the lowest of the lowest I would go and they're not even that great...

Its a core i5 3470 which consumes a decent chunk of the power I could get a Pentium and get a gtx 750 but I want to run forza 6 which which the Pentium couldn't do

wait wait wait..... You have the i5 already? Why not do this, get a 750 ti and buy an evga 430w. Can you do that?

Forza 6 uses a chunk of CPU power, I hit 80% with my 4790k which is a first.

 

Get a used power supply, profit.

I do have a 405watt enermax tomahawk but like I said it's proprietary

forza 6 with an i5=no chance with only 240w...(also, you never mentioned you had a 405w enermax PSU...so we didn't know you had that PSU at all...)

Unless you know what you're doing I would not suggest trying to retrofit anything. Just get a used powersupply, something in the 450w range with some quality. They're cheep as chips.
