Overclocking help

I have a hyper evo 212 on an fx 6300
Running on a Msi970
Looking to overclock so it will bottleneck a gtx 1070 as little possible till i can afford a better am3+ cpu. Anyway, i am new to overclocking, and am inexperienced with click bios 4 so steps for overclocking step by step are needed. I am wanting to hit 4.5 or 4.6 on my cpu but do not know if i got lucky enough to get that high at good temps. VERY specific instructions to overclock it s͟͟a͟͟f͟͟e͟͟l͟͟y͟͟ little by little with settings until 4.5 would be greatly appreciated. I know im asking a lot, but linus tech forums haven't let me down.

I understand that im overclocking at my own risk.

Don't invest money on a dead platform, wait for the new processors and the respective benchmarks

Im not sure how effective it was, but to overclock my 6300 on an Asus M5A97, I just downloaded AMD Overdrive. I got easy 4.5 ghz with that. It will adjust the voltages itself or you can do it manually. I just use the Turbo Core option which is the easiest to get 4.5 ghz.

You will probably bottleneck no matter what. if you are going to buy such a high end GPU you might as well invest in a decent CPU.

i understand. i am planning on a better cpu for am3+, but i can only buy one thing at a time.
