I got an account with Hostgator. I'll host my emails and my domain is registered there. I already have a SSL certificate installed.

In the next days, I'll change the record of my domain to point to a different server/ip (OHV VPS). Do I need to do something or the certificate will still validate ?

The certificate will need to be installed on the new server.

Argh, that sucks. I can't download / transfert my current certificate. It's a free one that came with the account so... I guess they don't want you to take it elsewhere :)

I'll look into the free "Let's Encrypt" thing. Thx man.

No worries, and I can definitely recommend Let's Encrypt. I use it on some of my own websites and it works great :)

Lets Encrypt is amazing. I use it on all of my servers (prod and dev) and love it. Definitely the way to go!

Indeed. I upgraded my Plesk planel to install a Lets Encrypt extension... Generating a new certificate is literally 2 clicks.

But yeah, even with SSH it seems simple enough... way easier than upgrading from plesk 12.0 to 12.5 :P
