So i should have asked a long time ago but i guess ill just ask now.

Why when i overclocked my CPU from 3.2Ghz to 5Ghz did i lose points on my benchmark?

Is it a problem with the CPU or the software?

You may be thermal throttling.

Yeah not all overclock can give higher result i both play on my g3258 on a 4.2ghz and 4.7ghz gaming on csgo and dota 2 really did not show any difference just higher temps so forget getting high fps on games just make sure you have a perfect fps avg, min and max always watch out for setting and some do make bad result. avoid doing multiple things on your g3258 like playing games while a google chrome tab is open like 10 tabs dont use any program that do task on the back ground, this is the only problem in having a dual core cpu limiting your self but to the result i am getting i almost beat i5-4460 on my g3258+212x on CS:GO/Dota 2 Reborn temps were the same and performance are gain was not even close to a %50 boost on a True Quad Core.
