Hi! Could you guys tell, if getting a "dual channel" kit of 2 memory stick is better than getting two of the same sticks in separate packages? I've ready before that thou the spec on two memory sticks might be the same, the ones that come in packages (of 2 4 8) are "calibrated" to each other. is there any truth to that or its just a marketing gimmick?

Best Regards

UGH... They are all the damn same! I have 4xKingston DDR3 1400Mhz ram and they are same as the set my dad got in a 4 pack!

it's recommended to get rams in the right kit for the number of channels you're intending to use them for

as ram compatibility can be an arse sometimes

and they dont calibrate the ram, they validate it

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

"validate" does it mean they make sure what it is (or figure out what it is) or it means something else?

validate it means they check if those rams work in the desired channel

because some rams even from the same batch doesnt work together,

chances are slim but it does occur
