I have a hotmail email address which is linked to my Xbox Live gamertag but I dont use it for anything else. The email box has been absolutely full of SPAM for four years and I refuse to clean it out because I am using other email addresses now. Will any of this pose a problem with a Windows 10 install and user accounts?

Mark as Spam your real e-mails, now you have a clean place with no spams.

Then you can rename Inbox as Spam, and Spam as Inbox. Problem solved! :D

But to answer your question seriously: No. But Windows 10 has OneDrive integrated, Windows Store, Windows services, and sync your account settings between systems with the same account (including wireless passwords).

So if you use those features/services, and your e-mail is compromised because you don't care and used a shitty password, and actually use these services, you might have a headache. I recommend to create a new Outlook account which you use for your Windows account on your system, and Microsoft services, and just don't share that e-mail with anyone, and use a good password, preferably with 2 step authentication. You can setup a PIN for your account for faster login, and not have to worry about typing a huge ass password every time.
