http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hfGq6h almost positive this is what I want, I already have a case(nzxt h440) I'll mostly use it for gaming and simple streaming, resolution will be 1080p but might try and do 1440p. The cpu cooler is mostly for looks, I know it's way overkill. Everything looks good to you guys?

switch that 750 evo for an 850 evo. $10 more but  17% faster (http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Samsung-850-Evo-250GB-vs-Samsung-750-EVO-250GB/2977vsm71929)

corsair psus are still overpriced it seems. get an evga g2. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20650y1

also wait for pascal/polaris

I agree with @Aytex wait for Polaris/Pascal. The only problem I have with it is that your buying the expensive cpu cooler for looks :/.

I know, do you know anything cheaper but still looks good? I hate those that stick out on top of the cpu, also what is Polaris/pascal?

Yup, the cooler is overkill.

For your use cases, overclocking isn't worth it. Just switch to an i5-6500, an H110 board and a single 8GB 2133MHz kit for the platform.

The PSU is too much. 500W enough for your needs.

Lastly, what case are you using?

Everything else looks good.

Thinking about this cooler instead? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-cpu-cooler-h55 (mostly for looks btw) I feel like 8gb is way to low for me, but if I went with 8gb instead of 16gb wouldn't 2x4gb sticks be better than 1x8gb stick? pcpartpicker says my build is 510w wouldn't getting 500w psu not be enough? I still think I should go with 650w just in case. Also my case is a nzxt h440

Polaris is AMD new line of gpus. Pascal is Nividias new line of gpus.

If you aren't overclocking (which I'm recommending not to, cause it's a waste of money), you don't need a liquid cooling solution at all.

8GB is too low for what? Do you have any memory intensive applications that you are going to use?

EDIT: Skylake mainstream only supports dual channel memory configurations, so it's pointless to go with a quad channel memory kit.

The part list I'm referencing my recommendations from (http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Shahnewaz/saved/RB3rxr)have a maximum power draw of 425W. If your build needs more, then just buy a higher rated PSU. But not that high.

Personally, I'm fine with a 50W buffer for non-overclocking scenarios.

The cooler is perfect for your needs. The evo is about $15 less but I dont understand why people wouldnt buy this. Its watercooled. A 650w psu is fine for what you need 500w I think would be pushing it. yes 2x4 stick is better than 1x8. Honestly 8gb is all you need. Nice case btw ;)

Dude just wait your gonna regret doing that. If you really dont want a new gpu heres a reason to wait. The older gpus like the one your going to get will be cheaper when the new gpus are out.

Yeah I'm most likely not over clocking but I don't like how the big cpu coolers look so I want something like the corsair h55. I'm honestly not sure what I'll really be using, this is my first ever pc. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2PDc6h came up with this, think it's better

Well the Pascal gpus were just announced 2 days ago. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 will be available on May 27th. The GTX 1070 follows two weeks later, on June 10th. The Polaris cards are not announced yet but they say they will be available before september.

Damn that's so far away though was going to get everything in 4 days and I would rather not wait 2-3 weeks, big decision I have now

Arctic Cooling has pretty elegant and compact CPU coolers if big monstrous looking heatsinks aren't your thing.

I still don't like it for some reason :/ the liquid coolers I'm looking at, do they need maintenance? Like changing water in it or anything?

They don't.

That being said, you shouldn't waste your money on a liquid cooler just because you don't like the looks. I don't know what exactly you don't like about tower coolers (even the small ones like the Freezer 7), but liquid cooling is completely unnecessary, even less when you're not overclocking. Just save your money.

Maybe you'll like this? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cryorig-cpu-cooler-m9i

Fun fact: You can also stick with the stock Intel cooler if you like. It'll be a bit loud and hot, but nothing alarming in temperature nor unbearable in noise.
