Prebuilt Computer to new case?

So i have a prebuilt computer that i want to put a new graphics card into but the case i'm using isn't big enough for any normal sized graphics card. Would it be possible to take everything out of the prebuilt motherboard included and put it into a new case. And yes the motherboard comes off it isn't attached to the case in a permanent way. And i know for a dedicated graphics card i would need a new power supply so that would be one of the things i would not be moving over.

Of course its possible, as long as your psu doesnt use proprietory connectors. so just check your mobo and make sure it has a 24pin connector. thats what i did since i didnt have the budget for a completely new pc

That seems to be an mATX mobo, so yes, you'd be able too.

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/desktop_pub/lenovo_h50_hmm_20140929.pdf I foudn this its themanual has a parts list for your model on page 83. although I cant seem to find any to find specs. but that totally s is a 14 pin.  a new mobo wouldnt be a bad idea. I have had a problem using some dell pre-manufactured mobos cause the front audio and power button had some proprietary plug on it.

your budget is about 200 for a GPU and PSU , and most likely mobo, and case???

no 200$ was originally for case and psu, don't really need a flashy case either. About 200-350 for a new gpu maybe more. I don't know how to factor a new mobo into that.

200 for a case is ALOT of money . you could spen like 50-75 on a really good case, My first Big rigs i used some DIYPC 30$ ATX case . cheap but it works .

i dont know if power can even have a proprietary plug. its literally just a wire with power an another with ground. now lining up the new case wires with the mobo will be a pain, since they're usually unlabeled. also pretty sure audio follow a standard connector.

no need to buy a new mobo if you dont need to. just get the 24pin to 14pin adaptor. all the other connectors seem standard

there's usually problems when using an adapter it wouldn't really be worth the hassle

If i have to take pictures I will. I am telling you it was a vostros case and the front audio and power and reset were all wired into one plug that was not standard. I ended up using a screw driver to power it on and then changed bios to just boot as soon as it got power.

definitely dont use and adapater. basically all you need to take out of that PC is the CPU and RAM and HDD . I would strongly suggest investing in an SSD . ALthgouh i have been buying the ADATa 120 gb ssd for boot drives some one told me that the Mushkin ssds are about the same price and have better performance .

If you total budget GPU , Mobo , case , PSu is around 400. you should be able to get it all.

well going for the bigger case was to be able to fit a dedicated graphics card but the one you posted seems to be pretty small already.

yea the Zotac is pretty small form factor and temps are damn good. it also does not require any special plugs. so technically you might be able to get away with your current PSU . i think the zotac 750ti recommends a 300w psu.

OP has 180W psu, so he needs to upgrade that.
