Hello!

im back again, ive made a post about this before. and thought i had it fixed.

the problem is my mouse and keyboard disconnect mostly while playing some games, but also while at the desktop. the only way i can fix the problem is to reset the PC, rarely im able to unplug and reconnect the mouse and/or keyboard to fix it. when this happens the LED's on the mouse and keyboard turn off i cant do anything with them resetting is the only option. I sometimes get the "a device has been removed" noise and message but very rarely.

The keyboard is a Roccat ISKU, and the mouse is a steelseries sensei, im running windows 10. and a asus p8z68-v mobo, i would like to try a bio update. but honestly i have no idea what update i need. as asus have an update for the bios for windows 7? can i use that now im running win10? im fairly confused as to what i should try.

but anyways thats my issue. would love some help and advice please its fairly aids when im enjoying a game :D

many thanks, DaZulu x

if it's the non pro/gen3 mobo get 3603 for 7&8, should do fine. if it's the pro/gen3 then 3802, microsoft claims win7/8 stuff should work for win 10 so best to get the newest if you're gonna do it. also check drivers, had usb issues on my computer because I missed a driver update for my m.2 drive

i actually just got an email back off asus with the following. (only took 2days) i assume this is a good idea to do? again any advice would be lovely. x

"I checked and found that the latest bios version is 3402. In this case, I request you to clear the cmos and update the bios to check if you are able to fix the issue. You can update the bios using the following link instructions and you can download the latest bios using the following links:

https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1012815/

http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1155/P8Z68-V/P8Z68-V-ASUS-3402.zip?_ga=1.175260001.2147339791.1449856842

Before proceeding to clear cmos, please make sure that the power is turned off and you are grounded.

To clear the CMOS, please follow the below given steps:

1. Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the computer. Disconnect the computer’s power cord from the AC power source (wall outlet or power adapter).

2. Remove the computer cover.

3. Locate the battery on the board.

4. With a medium flat-bladed screwdriver, gently try the battery free from its connector. Note the orientation of the “+” and “-” on the battery.

5. Leave the battery out for 10 - 15 seconds, for the CMOS to lose the settings.

6. Replace the battery in the connector, orienting the “+” and “-” correctly.

7. Replace the computer cover.

8. Turn the system back on.

After you have updated the bios, please uninstall the usb drivers and reboot the system. After the restart, please allow the windows to detect the drivers automatically and install it to check if you are able to fix the issue."
