Microsoft 10 upgrade not starting

NotSoHonestAbe

I'm currently running windows 7 home premium 64 bit, and I want to upgrade to windows 10. but when I open the GetWindows10-Web_Default_Attr.exe, I get a windows saying Open File - Security Warning asking if i want to run this file, and After I click Run there is a loading icon next to the cursor for about 1 second before it goes away and nothing happens.

It's much better to do a fresh install of Windows 10 rather than updating. Updating can cause issues later.

if you only have one drive you can't, if you have more put files on the second, download installers for any programs you want and move those over too. as for clean installing microsoft lets you download an iso for burning to a cd, or there's the media creation tool to use a usb http://www.thewindowsclub.com/windows-10-media-creation-tool-create-installation-media-upgrade
