Hi I am building my first pc so my computer are going to be strong hopefully. the thing is that I could either have a i7 6700k with a gtx 970 or switch out the cpu so I will have enough money to buy a gtx 980ti. I am unsure what i should choose and my pc is going to run cities skylines, Gta V and other titles like that.

For gaming an unlocked i5 is generally recommended above the i7 due to better value.

And can you wait a little? Rumour has it that the next generation of graphics cards from Nvidia will be unveiled as soon as on friday.

STAHP.

New GPUs are releasing in 2-4 weeks.

Also if you're at 1080p you don't need better than a 970. And cities: skylines is CPU bound, so is GTA V.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here
