1x 200mm / 2x 140mm / 2x 120mm at the Front?

RRGT19

Hi,

I have a Phanteks Mini ITX, see the photo attached.

What is the best configuration to have the best airflow possible?.

  • 200mm (Phanteks fan (PH-F200SP), came with the case)

    Fan Size 200 x 200 x 30mm
    Noise (dBA) 25 dBA
    Airflow (CFM) 110.1 CFM
    Static Pressure (mm/H2O) 1.04 mm/H2O
    850 rpm

  • 2x 140mm (Corsair AF140 Quiet Edition)

    Fan Size 140mm x 25mm
    Noise (dBA) 24 dBA
    Airflow (CFM) 67.8 CFM
    Static Pressure (mm/H2O) 0.84 mm/H2O
    1150 rpm

  • 2x 120mm PWM (Corsair SP120 PWM)

    Fan Size 120mm x 25mm
    Noise (dBA) 35 dBA
    Airflow (CFM) 62.74 CFM
    Static Pressure (mm/H2O) 3.1 mm/H20
    2350 RPM

Note: I have one AF140mm at the rear.

So, what do you think, which will be the best option?.

Two 140s would technically give you more surface area, but the motors in the middle probably make it the same.  I  think the 200mm would be the better choice in favor of silence at about the same cooling.  And you already own one.  That big 200mm can run slower and still get a lot of air in.

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

I put my hands in the middle of the airflow and I don't feel any air coming from that fan, the 200mm fan

:(

I figured as much, but you never know.

Because of the design of that case, I would certainly recommend going with a blower style cooler for your GPU.

As for intake, I would go with two 140 mm low rpm SP fans, but I really like to try and keep my PC as quiet as possible. Just know that since you're having more outtakes than intakes, dust will accumulate slightly quicker.

Ever try the paper test?  also, if the temps are good with the 200mm, silence is the way to go.

so, 2x 140mm is the way to go?

That would be my choice. Like I said though, a blower style cooler on the GPU would be ideal. Since the power supply shroud is so close to the GPU, having a cooler that pushes heat downwards isn't going to be very effective.

I will buy a hybrid gpu

I have phanteks pro case, managed to get a bitfenix spectre pro 200mm in the front, rated for 148 cfm, 27.5 DbA works great in this case, was a little tricky to get it in, granted I used the anti-vibe mounts to do it...
