980ti

Go to solution Solved by asim1999,

Apparently the 980 Ti will be around the same performance as a 1080 but the 1080 will be cheaper. Same case with the upcoming 490X. If you think going from 6 to 8GB VRAM with slightly higher bandwidth is worth it, go ahead

What would you be replacing it with in the mean time?

[CPU: 4.7ghz I5 6600k] [MBAsus Z170 Pro G] [RAM: G.Skill 2400 16GB(2x8)]

[GPU: MSI Twin Frozr GTX 970] [PSU: XFX Pro 850W] [Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo]
[Storage: 500GB WD HDD / 128GB SanDisk SSD ] [Case: DeepCool Tessaract]

[Keyboard: AZIO MGK1] [Mouse: Logitech G303] [Monitor: 2 x Acer 23" 1080p IPS]

Sell if you're upgrading for the sake of upgrading.

If you're wondering whether the upgrade to Pascal is worth it, wait and see.

The only way I would is if I was trying to run 4k on two cards, where I imagine two 1080 in SLI will be significantly better than two 980 Ti in SLI. But if you're running 1440p @ 60 Hz are you even turning any settings down right now, other than in completely broken shit like Quantum Break?
