Taking apart PC for a cleansing

So im gonna take apart my whole PC and cleanse that beast. I havnt done that in two years. I would occasionally blow out dust but thats it. Got any tips for me? All i know how to use is compressed air.

Depends on your confidence. Always remove the PSU last and leave it plugged into the wall but switched off. This way you can always be grounded. (But you probably knew that from 2 years ago :P)

 

I think everything will be fine. Just cable management will be a b*tch.

sounds like a lot of work for little if any reward. as far as i am concerned, anything that a vacuum and compressed air will not remove can stay there. i tore apart my 10 year old desk top, that only got cleaned once a year, and there was very little dust behind the mobo or back in corners. its not like your driving it thru a field, or across a desert. i guess if you lived where there are dust storms, it might be a worthwhile endeavor. now a laptop, that gets used in a multitude of laces and conditions, might be a different story. i have taken 2 of them apart so far, and there was more dirt inside than i would have thought. plus they have a marginal cooling system to start. but, if you feel the need, good luck. i wish all the best.

How dusty a system gets depends on how much air is flowing into the case and the room the system is fine. For some, a years worth of dust is only as much as a few weeks for someone else.
