I'm currently learning how to program Java in school and I was wondering what is a good online source to learn more and expand on what I learned in school and maybe even help me understand the stuff I'm learning in school better

I'd say lynda.com but you gotta pay for it.

Codecademy is absolute rubbish, it can be only useful if there are no other sources for a language and you're a total beginner, which you are not.

I'm not a Java programmer, and I didn't watch that one, but Derek's videos are great for learning languages:

This is the general "recap" kind of video, but he has many more Java videos, including Android development ones.
