Audio Driver/Device issues

Windows update is checking for a driver update. Hopefully the fact that he is using an older version of Win7 Ultimate (long story, it's pirated) won't matter.

i will download the drivers from Realtek site directly

 

the ones from HP is seriously outdated

It's onboard from the mobo

I will redownload them. Tried the HP one, tried the newer one on top of it, tried the SoundBlaster HP one (that one failed to install) - oddly enough running DDU and installing the 360 somehow bricked it - the 9600GT and it's drivers were fine with the default audio driver (though the microphone is still wonky as fuck, feels like he is using an embedded mic somehow)

Installed 2015 realtek drivers. Nothing changed

Check to see if you can swap the audio playback under the sound properties. Otherwise it looks like the audio is dead. And you will need to get a USB DAC.
