COD Infinity Warfare.

Hello guys! Recently, infinity ward released a new COD trailer and it was "infinity warfare". I was so happy when I was watching the first minute of the video! I was thinking "Oh! No more futuristic COD! That is great!". Then.. Of course.. Spaceships and now we fight in SPACE.

After everyone has asked for a series like Modern Warfare again...

Who else is furious about the new COD? 

But we should still be grateful that it is not Ghosts 2..

All of the new call of dutys suck. They have all been ruined by this character customisation,Super jumps and jetpacks or what not

Just wait until next year, I doubt sledgehammer will do it but they might. We have to think about it and take into consideration that they have been working on this game since AW, so pretty much three years, was announced and double jump/thrust jumping was put into the game so everyone after that though hey maybe we should follow. Nobody really started complaining until the end of AW about the double jump crap and by that point it was probably to late to scrap their idea and start over. Treyarch and Infinity Ward are probably just trying to get BOPS3 and Infinite Warfare over with at this point so they can go back to working on boots to ground combat. I guarantee now that everyone is hating on the thrusters and crap Treyarch and Infinity Ward will probably listen for the next Call of Duty they release their next turn around. 

 

Just think about it, you work on a game for over a year then people start complaining about something you've already spent a year making, you can't really just waste all of that money you spent for that year and say well we can't make this game anymore time to start over. They were already committed and had to just go with it. 

 

Also remember, Infinity Ward has always made the most fun games to play in the franchise except for BOPS1 and Zombies mode from Treyarch. Ghosts may have no been that great but it was still a lot more fun to just sit and play compared to the past two. If they had just focused on balancing the game a little more it would have been a great game overall.

Motherfuckers cancelled Ghosts. I loved Ghosts. Anyway, this will be the first CoD I'll buy since Ghosts, since I hated both how AW and OPS 3 looked. This game will be great.

Infinity wars will suck, because they are trying to create a mix of Halo and Battlefield.

Problem being that Halo is a fast paced arcade style shooter with lots of power ups, and Battlefield is a slow realistic shooter.

 

However, I do have some hope.

You know how for BO3 there was a possibility to only buy the online play, and ditch the rest of the game?

I'm hoping that later on they will be splitting Infinity war and COD4:Remaster. If that happens, I will be sure to play the shit out of the latter.

They ran out of ideas for names, so they used their own. In a few years we will see "Ward Warfare" which sounds like somebody is shooting up a hospital. Or maybe we will get a "COD15: Quantum Theory Warfare"

At this point Bungie, 343 studios, and Microsoft should merge halo with Treyarch, Activision, and infinity ward...

It's much cheaper to make games that are fantasy and anything goes.

Games like COD4, BF, etc, you have to model real-world objects, hire military consultants, get licensing for props in-game due to weapons and gear design.

If you can bang out the same crap each year, incrementally making it more "beast" for the 14 year olds, (CYBERZOMBIES!) and still make record sales each year, then what's the incentive to listen to the minority of players that want a more realistic experience?

COD4 remastered is not an example of listening to people, it's an extra way to make money re-releasing a game that has already made it's profits, no new licensing fees required. It entices older, more nostalgic players to buy a game they otherwise would not have if it wasn't for the chance to play one of the last great CODs with friends again.

I feel as if Activision was not listening to people when they said that they wanted COD to return to its roots of ww2, and DICE quickly seized the opportunity by listening to the opinions of COD players with BF1 being a ww1 shooter.  Even if ww1 is not exactly what the people wanted, It will be highly innovative with a time period just barely grazed by the gaming industry with the only ww1 FPS being Verdun, which is only on PC. In total, DICE was able to Listen to the players of both franchises, whilst being very innovative with their new game.

But Ghosts was basically more of modern warfare play style wise.

 

people hated that, so they went in another direction.
